Shoreham is located where the River Adur meets the sea, you can take a walk along the river down to where it feeds out to the sea, and find the beach at the end. The beautiful shingle beach at Shoreham is a designated nature reserve, which is great for swimming, and you can even bring your dog for a paddle in the summer. It's not for the faint-hearted, mind, with the route taking more than three hours to cycle. The route passes through the rolling Surrey Hills, and, if you're lucky, you might be able to see a variety of wildlife along the route including: butterflies, bats, and kingfishers.
